According to Ausubel and Robinson (1969:169)when integrating ,it is important to apply the principle of integrative reconciliation .This means putting out significant similarities and differences ,to reconcile real or apparent inconsistencies between successive ideas presented in sequential arrangement.This comes about when new knowledge is linked or merged with previously learnt knowledge -hence the need to link concepts in all business activities with what the people might have learnt in life experiences.
Barker(1988)emphasizes to the teachers that they should know why they teach various subjects in the curriculum .He further adds that no one can teach effectively if he does not know why he is teaching the subject.Like in Education integration can be done by the business person in viewing business principles across the economical spetrum.For example ,marketing and sales can be given where one is dealing with concepts in all needs of the people concerning one's products. Since products embodies concepts of varying nature ,links with other enterprises are necessary.
Once the business person has the wide view of doing business either traditionally or exploits the benefits of online smarter way of doing business and appreciates the need to integrate the business ,since all businesses have the philosophical justifications similar to each other.This point was supported by Dearden (1970)who says ,business should view disciplines as different ways of being critical and diferent ways in which we may be curious ,creative and imaginative.This implies that we can see the world from different points of view ,but should appreciate other people's points of view.
The business should let the needs of the customers /clients be unifying factor in determining the balance of the support and sales .For example ,people enjoy music and games.These can be included in some business activities. Makinde in Williams ,further makes it clear that,remembering whether a factor is historical or geographical doesn't matter a bit of the people ,but is important to planners who design the business and increase the community economical activities.
Principles of business Integration:
•Business persons should view the community in terms of activity and experience and not knowledge and facts to be acquired and stored.
•The business methods must include the people physically,mentally and emotionally.Since doing business can be linked to community moral activities like poetry,singing ,dancing and games which have aspects appealing to emotional aspects.
•Business should interact for concepts and product awareness ,not for facts only.Therefore business should be for recognition of its principles for being sustainable and realise its intended objectives.
•Conceptual and skill development can be identified in all economical environment by networked with other business and being reflective to the consumers. Remember people want brands that speak back them.
•For effective promotion of business we should aim for the coherent sets of relationships.This would make customers/clients widen their horizons in view of the world and see implications of their importance in the world of business.
•Business should allow for the curiosity and free inquiry of people to be an integrating factor in their involvement in the business to support it through buying products for its sustainance.The quality of curiosity should further be extended in all business activities.
•It is imperative to use real life experiences,problems ,interests,events as basis for business events.The knowledge should be based on the community's experience and linked to the view of the world.Real life situations are not related only to one principle ,but to all disciplines in the way people are doing their business for the community sake.
•Doing business should be the need for the total development of the community in all aspects of life .People must be morally developed human beings with feelings of love ,hate,fear and belonging through integrating them in your business activities.
•Bare in mind to mutual link between business should balance the product to the needs of the community.If this business is fully integrated ,it becomes an integrated being.
When integrating the business should make both its principles and products easier as the people can consciously relate needs and concepts in different angles and spheres of their community life.
